After Death Care and Green Burial Information Session

After Death Care and Breen Burial Information Session

Monday, January 26, 5:30 - 7:00 pm ~ Brooks Memorial Library ~ Upstairs Meeting Room

Learn about safe and legal options for caring for a loved one after their death, and local, accessible ways to access green burial.

People choose to care for their dead for many reasons: affordability, environmental impact, and as a final act of caring for a loved one in a physical way. All of these are good reasons to know your options. Come join us to learn, discuss, and ask questions.

Topics will include:

  • What is after death care and who can do it?

  • What are the benefits and challenges?

  • How can I plan ahead?

  • What is green burial and how do I access it in the Brattleboro area?

Center for Solace After Death Care volunteers provide information and support with green burial and after death care, including permitting. We can also arrange a teaching session for folks who wish to learn about body care in preparation for providing it after a death.
