Volunteer for Center for Solace
Center for Solace is a community-supported organization that thrives due to the generosity, time, talent, and love of our volunteers. Whether offering care to someone dying, supporting someone in grief, bagging items for customers at the shop, or pulling weeds in the garden, our volunteers are vital in executing our mission and providing services to those who need them.
Various volunteer opportunities are available! Our participants range in age from teens to senior citizens. Some volunteers may have professional skills or specialized expertise, but most are just people who want to support and serve their community. All of our volunteers complete an extensive training program before placement with clients.
Sometimes, volunteers assist with errands or household maintenance to allow family caregivers to get some time away from the house. Family members also appreciate a visit from a compassionate friend who understands what they are going through.
If you can’t be a long-term volunteer, we also seek seasonal and/or short-term helpers! We need volunteers for all sorts of things throughout the year. You could maintain our Memorial Garden, provide extra support at events, provide administrative help in the office, or we are always seeking folks to volunteer at Experienced Goods!
