Center for Solace invites the community to Dance for Solace, its seasonal early-evening dance party fundraiser, featuring a “Spark the Dark” theme designed to brighten up the darkening winter months. The event takes place on Thursday, December 3, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Saxtons Distillery, located at 155 Chickering Drive in Brattleboro.

Shimmer into Winter. Move your Body. Be Home by 9.

Community members are encouraged to bring their own sparkle, shimmer, glitz, and glow to the dance floor as night falls earlier this season. For those looking to assemble an eye-catching outfit, Center for Solace’s thrift store, Experienced Goods, is featuring a special rack of sparkly and shimmery clothing and accessories ahead of the event.

DJ Whoopiecat will take over the decks, spinning an eclectic, high-energy mix guaranteed to keep the floor moving and spirits soaring. Attendees can look forward to a varied lineup of lively, feel-good tracks to shake off whatever is weighing them down in a joyful space.

The dance floor is open to everyone and intentionally centers women, queer, trans, and nonbinary community members, creating a safe, joyful, and welcoming space to exhale and move.

Admission is $20 to $40 in advance, with all proceeds directly benefiting Center for Solace’s wide array of free programs. A cash bar will be available.
